BELTON- With a season-opening matchup against No. 11 Muhlenberg looming in just over three weeks, the UMHB football team returned to the practice field on Thursday. It marked the team’s first official practice of the season.

BELTON- As July turned into August, RJ Haberer arrived in Belton. The tight end is one of a number of offensive transfers joining the Cru for the 2022 season. But Haberer has a distinction. He is a graduate transfer, one of only a few such transfers in recent memory with Crusader football program.

ALLENTOWN, Penn.-Over the last eight years, just seven teams nationally have accumulated a streak with eight wins or more in each of those seasons. One of those programs is UMHB, the defending national champions. Another is the Crusaders’ week one opponent: 11th-ranked Muhlenberg College.
UMHB football begins the 2022 season ranked No. 1
BELTON- D3football.com released the most well-recognized D-III football ranking of the preseason on Tuesday morning, unveiling its highly-anticipated Top 25. The team sitting atop the poll? It was not much of a surprise. The reigning national champion, UMHB, picked up 23 of the 25 available first-place votes, and is the nation’s No. 1 team to open the year.

After unique opportunity at Manning Passing Academy, Kyle King ready for final collegiate season
THIBODAUX, La.-Kyle King walked onto the Nicholls State football field, taking it all in. He wanted to soak up everything he could in this short time span of four days.
Typically, the campus and in a way, the town of 15,000 around it, sits quiet during the months of summer. But for these few days in late June, Thibodaux becomes home to the most talented group of young quarterbacks ever assembled. The Manning Passing Academy sets up shop here, as it has each year for over 25 years, and from across the nation, top-tier high school quarterbacks descend on the city to learn from the best. 45 college quarterbacks are here too, having been invited by Archie Manning himself, to both work the camp as counselors, and develop as quarterbacks.
Jefferson Fritz named ASC’s Male Athlete of the Year
RICHARDSON, Texas-For the second consecutive year, the ASC’s Male Athlete of the Year Award belongs to a Crusader.
Jefferson Fritz, who wrapped up a storied collegiate career with the UMHB football program in December, rightfully earned this year’s honor, succeeding men’s basketball player Josiah Johnson, who claimed the award in 2021.
UMHB football earns commitment from All-CCIW running back Noel Wright II
BELTON- With less than 60 days until the Sept. 3 season opener, the UMHB football program has added to its running backs unit in a big way, securing a commitment from Carthage College transfer Noel Wright II on Thursday afternoon.
UMHB football adds Contra Costa College transfer Andre Mitchell
BELTON- A late transfer addition to the group of offensive newcomers for the UMHB football team was announced on Friday afternoon, as JUCO product Andre Mitchell made his commitment official.
