MARSHALL, Texas- It took a late rally, but the UMHB baseball team, for the second consecutive year, has a victory under its belt at the ASC Tournament.

Senior Lexi Harris leading 9th-ranked UMHB softball into the ASC Tournament

CLEVELAND, Miss.-Lexi Harris’ senior season has gone perhaps even better than expected.

The UMHB softball team’s starting center fielder, she is one of just two Crusaders, starting shortstop Milly Cesare being the other, to have started all 40 games for the team this season. In those 40 games, she has become the only player in the lineup to be hitting for a batting average above .400, at .405, and her 53 hits lead the Cru by a wide margin.

With tremendous speed and irreplaceable leadership, Caimyn Holiday leading UMHB baseball into ASC Tournament

BELTON- Caimyn Holiday is certainly one of the most recognizable figures on the UMHB baseball team.

His quickness has been spoken of time and time again. When he reaches first base, sometimes on a bunt single, other times on a hard-hit ball to the left side of the infield, fans begin drifting their gazes towards second. Because more often than not…

Dramatic sudden-death playoff earns Baucum the individual title, UMHB men’s golf wins second straight ASC championship

GRANBURY, Texas- It did not seem like the race for the ASC men’s golf individual title could get any closer as the back nine of Sunday’s round three approached. And then it did. UMHB’s Andrew Baucum and Concordia’s Ben Constancio were tied through 18 holes, forcing a sudden-death playoff between the tournament’s two leaders. It took just one hole to decide the champion, as Baucum recorded a par to defeat Constancio, and claim his first ASC individual crown.

UMHB baseball’s series win over Howard Payne closes regular season, propels Cru into ASC Tournament

BELTON- There are times when moments in sports seem to play out in exactly the way they should happen.

In the ninth inning of Saturday’s regular season finale against Howard Payne, Cayden Musgrove was called on to pitch. It was not an opportunity he had been expecting. After all, the Arizona native had gone 39 games without seeing the field. But in the final inning of the last home game of the 2022 season, UMHB head coach Mike Stawski decided to change that.
