WHITEWATER, Wis.- With just over three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the UMHB offense set up from the Wisconsin-Whitewater one-yard line. The UW-Whitewater faithful had been quiet for much of the fourth quarter, and it was easy to see why. The Crusaders of UMHB had backed up their ranking as the top team in the land, and were knocking on the door to a 10-point lead, already up 24-21 against the No. 6 team in the country.

UMHB Football picked No. 1 in ASC Preseason Poll, Cru sweeps ASC Preseason awards
BELTON- It has begun to be an expected order each year when the ASC Preseason Poll is released: UMHB at No. 1, and league rival Hardin-Simmons at No. 2. Both programs have had their share of successes within the last decade, and together accumulated the 18 total first-place votes in the 2022 version of the poll, which was released Wednesday.

After capturing a 57-24 Stagg Bowl win over North Central on Dec. 17, the UMHB football team wrapped up its spectacular season, finishing with a 15-0 mark.
The season’s success was undoubtedly made possible by contributions from the entire roster, and a few in particular stood out as especially notable. A number of these players are in the running for True To The Cru’s Players of the Year awards, which are decided by votes from both the general public and the local media.

CANTON, Ohio- Following UMHB’s national championship victory Friday night, head coach Pete Fredenburg was named D3football.com’s Coach of the Year. This marks the first time, since the honor was first awarded in 2005, that Fredenburg has been named Coach of the Year.
