The Weekend in Review: Softball sweeps series, men’s and women’s tennis pick up first victories of season

There was plenty that occurred this past weekend in UMHB athletics as baseball, softball, basketball, tennis all competed, and picked up victories early in the spring. We will recap it all for you in this quick weekend review. BELTON- The UMHB women’s tennis battled a D-I opponent in UT-Rio Grande Valley on Saturday afternoon, beginning the spring season for the Crusaders.

On its home courts, the Cru battled hard, though UTRGV took a 9-0 victory. UMHB returns to action on Feb. 12, facing Trinity (TX) in San Antonio.

True To The Cru’s Russell Marwitz captured all of the action, as the Crusaders returned to action for the first time since Oct. 2, 2021.

BELTON, Texas- 2021 saw a number of incredible achievements in UMHB athletics, from conference titles, to win streaks, to individual performances.
