BELTON, Texas- The UMHB football team, ranked No. 2 in the country, clinched its spot in the quarterfinal round of the D-III playoffs on Saturday afternoon at Crusader Stadium, defeating Birmingham-Southern 42-7. Running back Kenneth Cormier led the Cru with 65 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Ryan Redding tallied 14 completions on 23 passing attempts and had three touchdowns.

BELTON, Texas- The UMHB football team won a playoff game for the 16th straight season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Trinity 13-3 in the first-round. Aphonso Thomas tallied a 17-yard touchdown run with 2:05 remaining, sealing the Cru’s victory.

UMHB comes home with a win after defeating McMurry 77-3 in Abilene, Texas, and looks ahead to the playoffs, which begin on Saturday in a first-round matchup with Trinity.

BELTON, Texas- The UMHB volleyball team went 1-1 in the ASC Tournament this past weekend, defeating Sul Ross State 3-0 on Friday night, before finishing as the tournament runner-up to UT-Dallas, who won Saturday’s ASC championship match over UMHB, 3-1.
