Belton, TX – UMHB had not recorded multiple goals in a match against UT Dallas since 2018. But on Saturday night at the Cru Soccer Field, the Crusaders found offensive traction in the opening half, scoring twice in the first 33 minutes. Natalie Mason found the back of the net 71 seconds into the match and Allie Angell extended the advantage to 2-0 in the 33rd minute as UMHB earned a 2-1 victory over the Comets.
The Cru is now 6-1-1 overall this season, with a showdown against longtime rival Hardin-Simmons coming up on Thursday night in Abilene.
True To The Cru’s Russell Marwitz was at field-level for Saturday’s win, capturing the action as UMHB won its fourth match of the season in Belton.
