RICHARDSON- Two days prior to its ASC Tournament opener, the UMHB volleyball team had reason to celebrate. The Crusaders placed three onto the All-ASC teams on Wednesday afternoon, in outside hitters Hannah Frasca, Kaylie Vasil, and Katie Warden.
BELTON- In the regular season finale on Thursday night, the UMHB volleyball team pulled off a momentum-building win over Concordia, with victories in three straight sets. The 3-1 final (22-25, 25-20, 27-25, 25-15) moves UMHB to 17-7 overall, as the ASC Tournament becomes the Cru’s next focus.
BELTON- Last Friday night, the UMHB volleyball team found a way to down Hardin-Simmons just over two weeks after HSU had beaten the Crusaders in Abilene. On Friday night, UMHB got revenge once again, powered by a significant home-court atmosphere, as they defeated ETBU in a thrilling five-set battle.
The UMHB volleyball team came away with a sweep of McMurry on Saturday afternoon, marking the Crusaders’ fourth straight victory. True To The Cru’s Russell Marwitz captured all the action from courtside, and here is a collection of some of his high-quality photos from the win.
BELTON- When UMHB traveled to Abilene for a match against Hardin-Simmons on Sept. 20, the Crusaders struggled, losing the first set, winning the second, before dropping the next two. The two met again Friday night, this time in Belton, and though it started in a similar way, the finish was drastically different.
