BELTON — In a must-win game to preserve their chances at an ASC co-championship, UMHB pulled off an incredible 21-17 win over fifth-ranked Hardin-Simmons at Crusader Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Cru trailed 10-7 entering the fourth quarter but scored on back-to-back drives to take the lead, securing their first regular season win over HSU since 2022. BJ Stewart had 131 receiving yards while Izeal Jones tallied 15 tackles on the defensive side. UMHB is 6-3 overall, 4-1 in the ASC entering its regular season finale at Howard Payne on Nov. 15, having won four straight games.
