Belton, Texas — Hardin-Simmons spoiled UMHB’s homecoming game on Saturday afternoon at Crusader Stadium, as the Cowboys led by as many as 44 points and came away with a 44-21 win over The Cru.
UMHB dropped from No. 13 to No. 23 in Sunday’s D3football.com Top 25 poll, while HSU moved up to No. 5 nationally. The Crusaders are 1-1 in American Southwest Conference action heading into next Saturday’s road duel at Howard Payne (2-4, 0-2 ASC).
