MARSHALL, Texas—LeTourneau’s Maddie Flanery stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and swung at the first pitch she saw. With one out, she drove the pitch from UMHB starter Eileigh Whyte into the left center field gap in what proved to be the game’s biggest shift in momentum.

After dropping four straight games, UMHB men’s basketball entered Thursday night’s home opener hungry for a victory. And in a complete 40-minute effort, that is exactly what the Crusaders came away with, taking down LeTourneau, 75-66.
A dominant offensive effort extended UMHB women’s basketball’s winning streak to six games on Thursday night, as the Crusaders raced out to a 53-15 lead at the half, and never let up, defeating LeTourneau, 98-46.
BELTON-On Saturday night, the UMHB men’s and women’s soccer teams each posted shutouts over LeTourneau, rolling to dominant victories.
