MARSHALL, Texas- There are no games left on the regular season schedule. The postseason has arrived. And in a conference in which multiple teams are ranked in the Top 25 and the Region 10 Regional Rankings, there is plenty to play for over the next several days inside Ornelas Gym.
BELTON- There was nothing but silence inside the UMHB locker room. And yet, everyone had the same thought.
This was not the way it was supposed to go, ending the regular season with a loss on senior day to a rival that broke a 20-game win streak and perfect conference record. The emotions from the Crusaders postgame were that of a season-ending defeat, rather than a regular-season meeting.

Be sure to follow our coverage on Twitter at @TrueToTheCru, and right here on the website, where we will have plenty of ASC Tournament basketball coverage this week.
On Saturday afternoon, in a top 25 machup ETBU took down UMHB 71-57. Both teams look ahead into this week preparing for the ASC Tornement in Marshall, Tx.

BELTON- The UMHB women’s basketball team had entered the fourth quarter trailing before. And the Cru had always found a way to come back and claim the victory.
But on Saturday afternoon, there was no fourth-quarter comeback. Instead there was a wake-up call, an “attention-getter”, as UMHB head coach Mark Morefield called it, as the 14th-ranked Crusaders struggled to score for the final three quarters and fell to No. 22 ETBU, 71-57, marking the team’s first loss since Nov. 26.
