BELTON-Blake Arbogast has seen his East Texas Baptist team mature greatly over the course of this season. Earlier in the year, his squad may not have pulled out a win in a knock-down, drag-out road duel. The experience level was not necessarily there. But with just four weeks left in the regular season, the Tigers played with poise on Thursday night, taking down No. 22 UMHB in a back-and-forth battle, 67-61.

ALPINE, Texas- The story of conference realignment within the American Southwest Conference continues to unfold, and on Thursday afternoon, another piece of information was brought forth, with Dave Campbell’s Texas Football reporting that Sul Ross State will transition to D-II membership and the Lonestar Conference beginning in 2024.
RICHARDSON, Texas- At halftime, on the road, tied a team atop the ASC standings at 6-0 in conference play, the UMHB men’s basketball team reached a sort of crossroads. The second half performance would determine whether the Crusaders snapped UT-Dallas’ eight game winning streak and emerged with a major conference victory, or left Richardson with their third loss in ASC play.
RICHARDSON, Texas- With 3:20 left in Saturday’s ASC duel at UT-Dallas, the 24th-ranked UMHB women’s basketball team trailed by three, 49-46. For head coach Mark Morefield, it brought back an all-too-familiar feeling dating back to the Dec. 20 loss to Puget Sound.
ABILENE- The American Southwest Conference, of which UMHB is a member, will be losing yet another program, as conference realignment news was announced Tuesday afternoon.
RICHARDSON, Texas- The UMHB women’s basketball team has been picked second in the ASC’s Preseason Poll.
The poll, released Thursday, was extremely close amongst the top teams, with Hardin-Simmons voted No. 1, with 184 points, and UMHB at No. 2, with 180 points.
BELTON- 572 days. 16 conference matches. And not a single loss.
The UMHB men’s soccer team scored twice in the second half of Saturday’s match at Ozarks, pulling out a 3-1 victory, and the success continued for the Crusaders, who have gone a year and a half without a loss in the ASC play.
In UMHB’s third road game of the season, the fourth-ranked Crusaders travel to ETBU, aiming at their fifth victory of the season.
