It was a busy week in the ASC, with six games played, four of which were inter-conference matchups. As we look back on UMHB’s 68-14 win over Southwestern, here is a quick dive through the rest of the contests that played out involving ASC programs on Saturday afternoon.
BELTON- Based on the recently-released schedule from Nebraska Wesleyan (NWU), the UMHB men’s basketball team’s Cru Classic is indeed returning to the Mayborn Campus Center this season, after a two-year hiatus.
BELTON- Rachel Williams stood in the circle, facing the Sul Ross State batter. With two outs and an 0-2 count to Taryn Griner, Williams needed just one more strike to close out the game, the series, and likely, her career at UMHB’s Dee Dillon Field.
UMHB men’s basketball is aiming to continue its five-game win streak tonight in Belton, hosting head coach Clif Carroll’s former team, Sul Ross State, in an ASC contest. ALPINE, Texas- It took No. 2 UMHB longer than usual to find its footing on Saturday afternoon, scoring just seven first-quarter points, but the Crusaders mounted a sizable lead soon enough, scoring 31 in the second quarter en route to a 72-14 victory over Sul Ross State.
