LEADING IN FAITH: ASC Man of the Year Price Peden leaves a lasting legacy at UMHB

BELTON- Talk to Price Peden for five minutes, and it’s easy to see why he is revered by his teammates within the UMHB men’s soccer program. Why former UMHB head soccer coach Brad Bankhead described the forward as an “exact representation” of the ideal student-athlete at UMHB. Why the American Southwest Conference selected Peden as the recipient of the inaugural Man of the Year just three weeks ago, and the conference’s Community Service Athlete of the Year prior to that.

BELTON- The UMHB soccer program enters the 2022 season with momentum, coming off a stellar showing last fall that saw the Cru glide through the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record in ASC play. Led by first-year head coach Ben Allen this season, UMHB’s roster will feature plenty of new faces, as Allen and former head coach Brad Bankhead (now serving as UMHB’s Associate Athletic Director) recruited a number of talented Class of 2022 high schoolers to round out the 2022 roster. That includes two stars from the reigning UIL 6A state champions, Lake Travis High School.
