BELTON- The UMHB soccer program enters the 2022 season with momentum, coming off a stellar showing last fall that saw the Cru glide through the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record in ASC play. Led by first-year head coach Ben Allen this season, UMHB’s roster will feature plenty of new faces, as Allen and former head coach Brad Bankhead (now serving as UMHB’s Associate Athletic Director) recruited a number of talented Class of 2022 high schoolers to round out the 2022 roster. That includes two stars from the reigning UIL 6A state champions, Lake Travis High School.
BELTON, Texas- One goal is all it took for the UMHB women’s soccer team to punch its ticket for a rematch against Hardin-Simmons, as the Cru edged past Belhaven 1-0 in the ASC tournament quarterfinals.
BELTON, Texas- The last time the UMHB men’s soccer team faced Ozarks, the Crusaders’ season was ended on placekicks.
But in a hint of revenge, UMHB took down Ozarks at home in the conference opener, winning 3-2 on Thursday night.
BELTON, Texas- The UMHB women’s soccer team concluded its non-conference schedule on Saturday evening, notching its fourth straight shutout in a 4-0 win over Austin College.
BELTON, Texas- Covid-19 canceled the spring for the UMHB men’s soccer team in early 2020, and nearly a year later, winter storm Uri did something similar, postponing the first two conference matches of the season.
