BELTON- There was no getting around it. Championship matches simply have a different feeling to them than all the others. Saturday night’s duel between ASC rivals Hardin-Simmons and UMHB was no exception.
BELTON-The storyline cannot get much better for the UMHB women’s soccer team.
Two weeks ago, the Crusaders managed to knock off rival Hardin-Simmons, 1-0, beating the Cowgirls, winners of 19 straight ASC titles, for the first time in program history.
ROUND ROCK- In the regular season finales on Saturday afternoon, it was a split result for the UMHB men’s and women’s soccer teams against Concordia (TX). The women captured the top seed in the ASC Tournament with a 3-1 victory, capping off an 8-0-1 season in conference play, while the men dropped their first ASC match of the year, falling 5-1.

The UMHB women’s soccer team secured the No. 1 seed in the ASC Tournament with its 4-1 victory at Concordia (TX) on Saturday afternoon, making history for the second straight week by becoming the first team in program history to complete the regular season conference schedule with an undefeated record of 8-0-1.
