Covering UMHB Athletics and the stories behind the score
BELTON, Texas- 2021 saw a number of incredible achievements in UMHB athletics, from conference titles, to win streaks, to individual performances. In this year in review, we attempted to capture a snapshot of some of the notable numbers that defined 2021 for the Cru, as well as some of the memorable quotes and moments following 2021’s key victories.
GRANBURY, Texas- For the majority of the UMHB men’s golf team, Tuesday’s victory at the ASC preview marked the midpoint of the 2021-22 season. But for senior Kaden Treybig, the tournament had a slightly different feel to it.
After all, Treybig was not getting ready to cap off his fall season when he teed off Tuesday morning. He was preparing to begin the final round of his collegiate career.
GRANBURY, Texas- Coming off an ASC title and a national championship appearance, expectations were high for the UMHB men’s golf team entering the 2021 fall slate.
The Cru returned three from its five player lineup who competed at the national championship in May and earned the program’s eighth conference title in the spring.
Head coach Jordan Cox’s squad delivered on those expectations through six tournaments in the fall, winning four of them, including the ASC preview on Tuesday afternoon.
The Cru, in second place after day one, shot a -7 on Tuesday to win the tournament by 21 strokes. Five Crusaders tallied Top-10 finishes, including Harrison Jaeger and Andrew Baucum, who tied individually for first with a -5 (139) after 18 holes.

BELTON, Texas- Several postseason honors rolled in for members of the UMHB men’s and women’s golf teams on Tuesday and Wednesday.
BELTON, Texas- On Monday, the American Southwest Conference released its Academic All-Conference honors for the 2020-21 school year, with 1,008 student-athletes, athletic trainers, and sports information assistants recognized.
