True To The Cru videographer Luke C. Zayas captured all the action from the contest. Below are several of his courtside videos from the victory:
Luke Feely with the putback in his UMHB debut. Feely finished with seven points, four rebounds and two assists. Josiah Johnson drives to the lane and gets the layup to go! He tallied 34 points in the victory. Luke Feely with another nice scoring play in the paintJohnson converts on back-to-back three-point attempts! He finished 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. Crusaders get a defensive stop before Feely pulls down the offensive rebound and gets it to Johnson for the scoreTy Prince gets the “and-one” as he was fouled on the layup. Prince finished with 23 points.
BELTON — Elijah Lawrence and his UMHB teammates came into Saturday’s regular season finale not knowing whether or not they would get another chance to play in front of their home crowd this season.
BELTON — There were chances to win it in the end, which, for a UMHB team whose struggles have been very noticeable in recent weeks, was all anyone could really ask for. Especially considering the opponent on the opposite bench came to Belton with an unblemished 7-0 ASC record in tow.
BROWNWOOD- Inside the spacious Brownwood Coliseum Thursday night, the UMHB men’s basketball team emerged with a 92-80 victory.
It was not a pretty victory by any means-a look at the box score will tell you that- but against a Howard Payne team that UMHB head coach Clif Carroll noted plays at a level far above its record, coming away with its 13th conference win was the bottom line.
