3 takeaways from UMHB women’s basketball’s dominant win over Piedmont

BELTON- Having stumbled in back-to-back games early last week, the UMHB women’s basketball team took the court on Thursday afternoon in need of a convincing “bounce-back” performance. 

The Crusaders found just that in a dominant 83-45 victory over Piedmont, scoring 20-plus points in three of the game’s four quarters, while holding the Lions below 10 points in two quarters.

Belton, TX- In a back-and-forth game on Saturday afternoon in the ASC Championship, ETBU defeated The CRU on a walk-off double, winning 3-2. UMHB won three games in the 2023 ASC Tournament, which was the most in program history since 2013.

AUSTIN, Texas- Facing a 14-point halftime deficit, UMHB head coach Clif Carroll challenged his team at halftime. 

And led by a core of returners, the Crusaders responded.
