LEXINGTON, Kentucky- The UMHB women’s basketball team came up short on Friday night against Transylvania, but the Crusaders did everything they could late in the fourth quarter, scoring 25 points and ending their season with a fight to the finish.

It was a memorable year for a team that went 18-1 in ASC play, posting a 24-5 overall record, as the Cru reached the Sweet 16 for the third time in program history. Neil Faux of True To The Cru and FauxFx was courtside for the Sweet 16 contest. Below is a collection of several of his action shots from the contest as well as an insightful postgame conversation with head coach Mark Morefield and sophomores Kaitlyn Kollmorgen and Catherine Kaiser.

No. 22 UMHB men’s basketball rolls to 85-59 win at Ozarks

CLARKSVILLE, Ark.- Competitive spirit. Enthusiasm, Intent. 

All were things UMHB head coach Clif Carroll was looking for from his team entering Thursday’s ASC road matchup at Ozarks. And even with leading scorer Josiah Johnson unavailable, the Cru had no shortage of offense or intensity, leading from start to finish for an 85-59 win.
