SAN ANTONIO, Texas- The UMHB women’s soccer team extended its undefeated record by a game on Friday afternoon against Our Lady of the Lake, pulling out a 3-1 victory to move to 3-0 on the year.
UMHB’s offensive attack did not take long to find its rhythm. Kelsey White found the back of the net for the Cru in the 29th minute, scoring on a free kick, and four minutes later, Kristen Burdick scored off of an assist from Yuliana Cruz. But UMHB was not finished. Freshman Abigail Hickman had a moment to remember in the 37th minute, as she recorded her first collegiate goal, extending the advantage to 3-0.
Neither squad scored in the second half until OLLU’s Ambree Rheinberger scored the Saints’ lone goal of the match, in the 79th minute.
