Coming off NCAA Tournament berths, both the UMHB men’s and women’s basketball teams returned to the court for the 2022-2023 season’s first official practices on Sunday. Over the last several days, the teams, with a good mix of returners and standout newcomers, have jumped into preseason preparation.
For the men, picked No. 1 in Wednesday’s ASC Preseason Poll, the season opener is less than three weeks away, on Nov. 8 at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Claremont, California. The women begin the season a couple weeks later, in a Nov. 19 matchup against Emory in Atlanta, Georgia.
