Abby (Voskuil) Fuchs made history during the 2014 volleyball season. As a sophomore on UMHB’s first ASC title team since 1998, she led The Cru with 307 kills, earning Honorable Mention All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. As it turned out, according to UMHB’s record book, Fuchs became the first All-America selection in UMHB’s D-III history.
Today on the True To The Cru Podcast, she talks about that national honor, as well as her journey to UMHB, and what she took away from being part of the volleyball program. We also asked her about her favorite gyms to play in on the road, the impact her mom, Helle, had on her volleyball career, and more.
