UMHB comes home with a win after defeating McMurry 77-3 in Abilene, Texas, and looks ahead to the playoffs, which begin on Saturday in a first-round matchup with Trinity.

BELTON, Texas- UMHB’s history against Trinity (TX) on the gridiron is extensive to say the least.
The two programs, separated by just 138 miles, have met on nine occasions. The Tigers were the first team UMHB ever faced, as the two squared off in San Antonio to begin the Cru’s inaugural season in 1998. That contest ended in a 37-14 loss for the Crusaders, as did the next three meetings, the later two of which were contested in the playoffs. UMHB’s first playoff opponent in program history was Trinity in 2001. And the Crusaders’ first playoff win came in 2004 against…you guessed it, Trinity.
It is now time to vote for True To The Cru’s Players of the Week presented by Sacrifice Training, to bring recognition to some of Saturday’s most outstanding performances.
BELTON, Texas- The UMHB football team will open the NCAA D-III playoffs by facing an in-state opponent on Nov. 20, as it was announced Sunday afternoon that the Cru’s first round matchup is against Trinity (TX).
ARLINGTON, Texas- For 32 minutes, the UMHB men’s basketball team stayed in stride with D-I UT-Arlington. A tough eight-minute stretch midway through the second half resulted in a 104-75 exhibition loss on Saturday night, but more importantly, the Cru displayed improvement from Thursday’s loss to Stephen F. Austin and held its own against D-I competition.
ARLINGTON, Texas- The UMHB men’s basketball team (2-0), ranked 12th in the country by D3hoops.com, faces a D-I opponent for the second straight game, battling UT-Arlington at the College Park Center. It is UTA’s first home game of the year, and is also the Mavericks’ homecoming game. Follow along for live updates of the contest.

BELTON, Texas- The UMHB men’s basketball team rolled to a 100-80 victory in its season-opener against Southwestern on Tuesday night, as Josiah Johnson led the team with 34 points.

BELTON, Texas- The regular season finale has arrived for the UMHB football team, who has already clinched a spot in the D-III playoffs, beginning next week. But before the Crusaders can compete in the playoffs, McMurry is the final hurdle they must clear on the ASC slate.
NACDOGCHES, Texas- With 15:59 remaining in the second half, freshman Braedyn Dawes hit a three-pointer. Then another three minutes later. Before the final buzzer sounded, he had knocked down three more, notching 15 points in his second game with the Cru.
