Facing a McMurry lineup that had hit above .300 in each of its previous six contests, The Cru shut the Warhawks down at the plate, leading wire-to-wire in a doubleheader sweep at home. McMurry hit just .111 in the twinbill, as UMHB won by scores of 3-0 and 8-1.
BELTON – In the bottom of the 6th inning on Thursday night, Lindsey Polleschultz made a break for second base. With two outs, and The Cru leading Carnegie Mellon 5-0, the senior shortstop safely reached the bag, putting herself in scoring position for the third time in the contest, adding to an already-impressive 3-for-4 day at the plate.

UMHB Softball released its 2025 schedule on Tuesday, which features games against the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the final 2024 NFCA Top 25 Poll and four opponents that The Cru has never faced before.
As the 2024 season began for the UMHB Softball team, Julia Crofut prepared herself for the next stage of her young coaching career. A Crusader alum who started at first base for the record-setting 2023 squad, Crofut planned on pursuing a coaching opportunity in Maine.
MARSHALL, Texas—LeTourneau’s Maddie Flanery stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and swung at the first pitch she saw. With one out, she drove the pitch from UMHB starter Eileigh Whyte into the left center field gap in what proved to be the game’s biggest shift in momentum.
