There were plenty of great matchups around the ASC on Saturday afternoon, as Week 7 unfolded. Here is a look at what went on in the conference as eight of the nine teams were in action.
BELTON, Texas- After defeating Southwestern in the home opener of this abbreviated spring schedule, the UMHB football team hits the road to face what might be its toughest opponent of this four-game regular season, as East Texas Baptist (2-1) awaits.
BELTON, Texas- As the weather outside dropped below freezing, inside the Mayborn Campus Center, the UMHB women’s basketball also found itself on cold shooting spurts, as No. 2 ETBU pulled out a 62-48 win in Belton on Saturday afternoon.
Powered by a great offensive effort in the second half, the UMHB men’s basketball team won its ninth straight conference game, defeating East division leader East Texas Baptist, 86-81, to remain undefeated in ASC play.

MARSHALL, Texas- A three-pointer from Aedan Welch followed by a Gibson Hearne free throw gave way to a narrow 75-73 non-conference road victory for the UMHB men’s basketball team on Saturday afternoon against East Texas Baptist.
On Monday, the UMHB Athletics Department announced that the Cru’s scheduled swing through east Texas had been rescheduled for late December and early January.
