BELTON, Texas- It has not been an easy week for the UMHB men’s basketball team, with the past three games having been either canceled or postponed. On Monday, the UMHB Athletics Department announced that the Cru’s scheduled swing through east Texas had been rescheduled for late December and early January.

As was previously announced, the Cru’s contest at LeTourneau, slated for Monday afternoon, was pushed to December 31. What had not yet been released was that Tuesday’s showdown with East Texas Baptist University in Marshall would be moved to January 2.

The reason for both postponements was not made clear in the statement from UMHB, though it can be inferred that LeTourneau did not cause the postponement, as the Yellowjackets have already added a contest against Howard Payne for Tuesday afternoon to the schedule.

With three weeks between games, the Cru will now prepare for three games in five days facing division one Sam Houston State in an exhibition on Dec. 29 before battling LeTourneau and ETBU later on in the week.
