Taylor Kollmorgen wasted no time making her mark in the American Southwest Conference as the graduate transfer from Houston Baptist earned the ASC West Division Player of the Week Award on Monday.

A talented post player for head coach Mark Morefield’s squad, Kollmorgen started both of UMHB’s games, leading the team in scoring against UNT-Dallas with 20 points. When the week was all said and done, the Cru had earned two 20-point victories and Kollmorgen was averaging a double-double, with 13.5 points and 12 rebounds per game. She did a little bit of everything, as she currently leads the Cru in total points (27) and total rebounds (24), while adding four blocks and a steal.

After a 2-0 start to the 2020-21 campaign, UMHB heads up to Abilene for a tough non-conference test against division one Abilene Christian Thursday. Tip-off comes to you at 5:30, with the contest being televised on ESPN+. 98.1 The Ticket will handle the radio broadcast for the game.
