UMHB men’s basketball has conference opener canceled, may add another game to schedule

BELTON, Texas- It was announced Wednesday morning that the UMHB men’s basketball team’s conference opener will be pushed back a week, with the Cru’s contests at UT Dallas and Ozarks, scheduled for Thursday and Saturday, having been canceled.

This marks the second time this season that UMHB’s game at UT Dallas has been canceled. The two were set to meet in non-conference action December 10 before the plug was pulled on that one.

As of now, the UMHB women’s basketball team is still set to face UTD on Thursday and Ozarks on Saturday.

UMHB is working on finding a replacement game or two for this week, which should be announced shortly according to the UMHB Athletics Department. One possibility could be facing Concordia (TX). The Tornadoes were set to play both UTD and Ozarks this week, but both of those games have been canceled as well.

The Cru are 3-2 on the season, and will now begin the conference slate against Louisiana College next Thursday on January 14.
