BROWNWOOD, Texas- All three games were decided by two runs or less, but the UMHB baseball team thrived the close contests, and earned a 2-1 series win over ASC foe Howard Payne this weekend at Don Shepard Park.

In game uniform for the first time this fall, the UMHB football team’s junior varsity squad took to Crusader Stadium on Friday night, battling UANL Tigres, from Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Though UANL prevailed, the Crusaders made great strides in their first contest of the year against an outside opponent, and several freshmen stood out, such as running back Trace Holmes, from Sweeney, Texas, who had a number of spectacular rushing attempts, and Cameron Mitton, who was all over the field at a variety of positions.
