In UMHB football’s dominant 65-20 victory over Louisiana College on Saturday, several players stepped up to lead the Cru to victory. Of these, a few stood out, and have been nominated for our weekly Player of the Week awards in the three categories of Offense, Defense and Special Teams.

Vote now and give these athletes the recognition they deserve. The polls close on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. CT.

The CRU came out with a 59-14 win against Howard Payne University on Saturday afternoon, moving to 9-0 on the year and clinching a D-III playoff bid, as well as a share of the ASC title. Saturday’s game was also senior and military appreciation day.

Sammons wins second straight individual title, UMHB men’s golf victorious at ASC Preview

ALEXANDRIA, Louisiana- William Sammons finished the fall on fire. 

A day after his birthday on Tuesday afternoon, the junior won the individual title at the ASC Preview, carding a score of 139, which was five below par.
