With its season opener just a week away, the varsity roster for the UMHB football team battled Monterrey Tech under the lights of Crusader Stadium on Saturday night in a scrimmage. The team showed room for improvement, but looked sharp after its first three weeks of fall camp. K.J. Miller had a number of long punt returns, the receiving corps was on point, and the defensive line found its rhythm, putting pressure on the opposing quarterback, even against a stout offensive line for Monterrey Tech.
