BELTON- It was an incredible season for UMHB football in 2022, as the Crusaders went 12-2, reaching the national semifinals and winning yet another American Southwest Conference championship, the first under head coach Larry Harmon, who was in his inaugural season.
As we do annually, it is now time to vote for True To The Cru’s Football Players of the Year presented by our gold sponsors: Montgomery Chiropractic, The Best of Belton, Sacrifice Training, Cornerstone Site Services, the Crusader Football Alumni Association, and Duke Realty.

Before getting to the polls, we feel it is important to note that these annual awards are by no means a favoritism or particular players over others, but rather a recognition of some of the especially notable performances of this season.
With that, we thank everyone who was a part of UMHB football this season, as championship-caliber teams are not built purely by those at the forefront, but rather everyone who plays a role, whether it be large or small.
The polls will remain open until Dec. 28 at noon, with the winners announced that afternoon. 50 percent of the final vote will be made up of the general public, and 50 percent will be made up of our group of media voters. If you have a write-in candidate, either leave a comment below with the player’s name and award you are nominating them for. Or you can email managing editor Riley Zayas at rileyzayas.truetothecru@gmail.com.
I was trying to vote for Durand Hill. I hope I was successful.
