BELTON-In True To The Cru’s latest edition of “Catching up with the Commits”, UMHB baseball transfer Riley Bender spoke with Riley Zayas about his decision to join The Cru, what the last two seasons at D1 Abilene Christian taught him, and how playing at Kingwood High School impacted him on his journey to the collegiate level.
Bender’s commitment was noted in our July 17 article, as the infielder comes to Belton as the fifth transfer in the incoming class. He played in 19 games at ACU, making eight starts, and hit for an average of .200 with four runs and two RBIs.
