The UMHB softball program has enjoyed plenty of production from junior college transfers in past seasons, and brings in four JUCO transfers in the incoming recruiting class. Chloee Mason, a right-handed pitcher from Blinn College is part of that group of newcomers, looking to make an impact in her first season in Belton.
This past spring, she tossed 123.1 innings for the Buccaneers, posting a 2.78 ERA. Mason tallied 83 strikeouts in 21 starts, and threw 12 complete games. She was 10-9 on the year and ranked fifth in Region XIV in ERA. Mason tossed a no-hitter in Blinn’s win over Coastal Bend College on April 12. She walked just two batters and struck out six.
