About the Cru: UMHB is looking to avenge an 81-72 loss on the road last Thursday at ETBU, and is now 7-2 in ASC play. The Crusaders have found plenty of ways to score, at 88.1 points per game, the second-best mark in the ASC, but have struggled at times on the defensive end. Head coach Clif Carroll said earlier this week that he is looking for more “competitive spirit” from his team in tonight’s road contest, which will be the second time UMHB has faced Ozarks. In the conference opener on Dec. 3, the Cru earned an 87-67 victory in Belton. UMHB is shooting an impressive 47.8% from the field.

Ozarks (3-11, 2-7 ASC)

About the Eagles: Ozarks has shown an ability to compete with the conference’s best, and put together a number of strong second halves, though the Eagles are at the bottom of the ASC standings with a 2-7 conference mark. They fell at UT-Dallas 115-87 in a high-scoring contest on Jan. 15. Though they do rank at the bottom of the ASC in points per game (70.3), the Eagles make the most of their opportunities at the free throw line. Ozarks leads the conference in free-throw percentage, at 77.9%.
