Offensive Player of the Week: KJ Miller
Miller was spectacular for the Cru in the fourth-quarter comeback, sparking the 24-0 scoring run with his 65-yard touchdown sprint on the drive that followed Bethel’s final scoring play of the game. He also had a 30-yard reception in the third quarter, and finished with a team-best 144 receiving yards. Miller tallied six receptions on eight targets, and recorded his fifth game with 100-plus receiving yards.

Defensive Player of the Week: Titus Dunk
Dunk earns this honor with 53 percent of the vote, having come up with the key interception of Bethel quarterback Jaran Roste that set up UMHB’s go-ahead score. It was the senior cornerback’s second interception of the year, and along with it, he tallied two pass breakups, and eight total tackles, five of which were solo tackles.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Anthony Avila and the UMHB kickoff unit
This is the first time in which it has happened, but the voting was so close, it ended up being 50% to 50%. So this week, both Avila and the kickoff unit will be recognized.
At kicker, Avila came through with a pair of field goals for the Cru, converting on both of his attempts, with a long of 36 yards. He was also a perfect 3-for-3 on PATs. Six of his kickoffs went for touchbacks, and he averaged 62.6 yards per kick.
The kickoff unit kept both of Bethel’s returns to a minimum total of just 22 yards. That was notable, considering they have given up 109 kickoff return yards to Trinity in the second round on two returns.

Women’s Basketball Player of the Week: Payton Hicks
The senior guard posted a team-high 16 points for UMHB in Saturday’s 78-57 win at Concordia. Hicks shot 7-of-10 from the field, adding three rebounds and three assists along with a pair of steals. She is currently shooting 51.9% from the field (14-of-27).

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week: Luke Feely
Feely led the Cru in points, with 15, in the 81-77 loss at Concordia, but that was not all. The senior wing/forward added six rebounds, four of which came on the offensive end and tied for a team-high. He shot a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line, converted on his lone three-point attempt of the day, and added two assists and a block.
