UMHB tight end Connor Mullins will enter the transfer portal with two years of eligibility, he said in a Twitter post Monday afternoon.

“I would like to thank all of the coaches and players at UMHB for the opportunity they gave me to win with them,” Mullins wrote. “With that being said, I am entering the transfer portal with two years of eligibility left. Thank you CRU. My recruitment is now fully open.”

Mullins played in 29 career games with the Crusaders from the 2020-2022, totaling seven receptions for 56 yards and two touchdowns. He played in 13 of UMHB’s 14 games this past fall, starting all four playoff games. He was also an exceptional blocking tight end, who helped pave the way for UMHB’s stellar rushing attack, which ranked second in the ASC, averaging 190.3 rush yards per game.

A native of Hurst, Texas, Mullins starred at Nolan Catholic High School, as an all-district standout and Offensive MVP.

On behalf of True To The Cru, we thank Mullins for his impact on the UMHB program, and wish him the best moving into the future.
