UMHB baseball has brought in a stellar incoming recruiting class for the 2024 season, and amongst the group of high school newcomers is Robert Sanford from Hebron High School. A versatile athlete who started at catcher for much of his prep career, Sanford comes to Belton as a pitcher, and has developed well on the mound within the last two years.

A Second Team All-District 6-6A honoree as a senior, Sanford helped Hebron to a district title with a 12-2 record, and a 28-10 overall mark. They took down eventual 6A State Champ Flower Mound High School twice during the regular season, and reached the second round of the state playoffs.

Sanford joins True To The Cru’s Riley Zayas for another edition of “Catching up with the Commits”, talking about his decision to commit to UMHB, playing at Hebron HS, and improving as a pitcher before starting his collegiate career.
