Allie Angell won’t have to go far to make the transition from high school to college soccer, as the Belton High School standout is joining the UMHB women’s soccer program, starting this fall.
An accomplished center back for the Tigers, Angell helped lead Belton’s charge into the postseason this past spring. After posting an impeccable 14-0 record through district play, Belton prevailed in four playoff games, shutting out its first three opponents. The Tigers reached the regional finals of the 5A State Playoffs, as Angell earned All-State honors by both TASCO and the United Soccer Coaches. Her efforts also landed her a spot in the TASCO Senior All-Star Game in San Antonio, competing in one final high school game amongst some of the best in the state.
In this edition of “Catching up with the Commits” Angell talks about the success of her senior year, staying in Belton for college, and what stuck out to her when it came to the UMHB women’s soccer program.
