BELTON- Playing five matches at home in the span of just over 48 hours, the UMHB Volleyball team concluded its weekend in Belton by facing Southwestern University, the nation’s 24th-ranked team. While UMHB was swept by the Pirates, Raylee Schaffner finished with a career-high 11 kills and Natalie Hughes had five blocks, leading The Cru’s effort. And for the week, the Crusaders were highly successful, going 5-1, including ASC wins over Howard Payne and Hardin-Simmons. At 13-1, UMHB currently has the highest winning percentage of any team in the ASC heading into week four of the regular season.
