A couple of notes on first-quarter stats…

Despite a slow offensive start, UMHB QB Ryan Redding was 10-for-12 passing for 156 yds and 1 TD…KJ Miller had 6 catches for the Cru for 88 yds, with an impressive 43 yards after catch…HPU QB Landon McKinney threw for 105 yds and 2 TDs, but was just 2-for-8 passing.

The first quarter is over, took 44 minutes to play, and we have already seen 5 TDs. HPU took an early 14-0 lead, before UMHB countered with 21 unanswered points.

The Crusaders have found their rhythm defensively, and it has given the offense time to put together three straight scoring drives. Ryan Redding showing great awareness in the pocket at QB for the Cru.

That TD was made possible by a nice pass from Redding to KJ Miller, as he found Miller racing up the sideline. It put the ball down on the 5 yard line, before Thomas tallied the score.
