In their second straight road contest, the fourth-ranked Crusaders started strong in the opening quarter, and pulled out a 45-16 victory over Texas Lutheran on Saturday afternoon in Seguin.
Quarterback Kyle King broke the program record for completions in a game, with 28, and Matthew Jackson’s 95-yard punt return touchdown broke the ASC record for the longest punt return in the conference’s history.
UMHB is now 5-0 in ASC play, and 6-1 overall. The Cru looks ahead to next Saturday’s home duel with Sul Ross State.
